Canterbury

Last year we went to Canterbury with the two tto classes and Mr. Mourits, Mr. van de Broek, Mr. de Groot, Mrs. de Pater and Mrs. van de Vliert. At 3 o’clock we had to gather  at school. We travelled by bus to the Channel Tunnel in Calais, France. The bus drove into the train. The train trip was very pleasant and we had a lot of fun with each other. When we arrived in Folkestone, England, we travelled to Canterbury. The landscape was very beautiful and there were a lot of hills. The weather was very nice but quite hot.

After we walked for a while and explored Canterbury a bit, we were split up in two groups. Our group had a boat trip first through a small canal. When we sat in a small boat, the guide told us a lot about the history of Canterbury.

Than the best part began, we could shop in Canterbury. We also had to interview 5 persons, which was really interesting. After a couple of hours we had to gather again at the Canterbury Cathedral. Again we had to make couples and we had to do a quiz about the Cathedral. In the evening we attended the evensong in the Cathedral by a boys’ choir. The choir sang really high =) It was really special to us.

After a lot of shops, interviews, pictures and hamburgers we went back to the bus. The journey was again very nice, but a lot of people were so tired that they fell asleep.

For almost everyone it was the first time in England, and for some even the first time in a foreign country, so that was a great experience. We had a lot of fun, and we learned a lot about Canterbury.

London, the best place to be!

Last year we went to London with our 2 TTO class. It was a very exciting trip.  We went by bus to Calais to take the Channel  to Dover. Have you ever been to London? If not, then this is your chance. When you do TTO, you’ll go to London in the second form, with your class. You will visit museums, a church, a shopping centre, parks etc. of course, you’ll use the underground and see the Big Ben. Even if you’ve been to London, it still is an experience you shouldn’t miss. So, I hope to see you in London!
